Antonym Vocabulary Posters

These antonym vocabulary posters show a variety of words that are opposites of each other. Each page features illustrations depicting contrasting words, such as “big” and “small”. Additionally, there is an explanation page containing sixteen sets of antonyms in total.

These antonym vocabulary posters introduce children to a wide range of antonyms, expanding their vocabulary and providing them with alternative words to express contrasting meanings. Seeing antonyms illustrated in context helps children grasp the meaning of each word more effectively, as they observe how the words are used in relation to each other.

Our antonym vocabulary posters are aligned with KS2 writing composition and vocabulary on the primary national curriculum. This primary resource can be used with your ideas for creative writing activities, display boards, games, teaching material, learning aids, differentiation, homework, and lesson plans.
