Question Words Anchor Charts

These question words anchor charts, also known as interrogative words, feature a key question word as a bold heading, a description, and illustrations representative of the question word. Additionally, each chart includes a sentence example demonstrating the use of the question word. The words included are: where, when, why, what, which, whose, whom, who, and how.

The question words anchor charts will prompt children to include descriptive details and sensory imagery in their writing by prompting them to consider who, what, where, when, why, and how aspects of a scene or event, enriching their descriptive writing skills.
