Roll, Add and Multiply by Eleven | 11 Times Table Activity Worksheets

Bring energy and friendly competition to your multiplication practice with our roll, add and multiply by 11 activity worksheet. Pupils roll two dice, add the numbers together, then multiply the total by 11 before finding and colouring the correct product on the grid. For example, if a child rolls 3 and 4, they calculate (3 + 4) × 11 = 77 and colour in that circle. If played in pairs, children can use different colours to see who can colour the most circles correctly. This KS2 maths activity builds multiplication confidence through repeated reasoning and mental arithmetic in a fun, low-pressure setting.

Key Curriculum Focus

This KS2 times tables/multiplication worksheet aligns with the national curriculum by supporting:

  • Securing knowledge of the 11 times table through repeated practice with varied number combinations
  • Solving multiplication problems mentally using efficient strategies
  • Strengthening number sense by linking addition and multiplication facts

The roll, add and multiply by 11 activity worksheet strengthens understanding of the 11 multiplication table by combining it with mental addition and interactive gameplay. By introducing an element of randomness, children must apply known facts flexibly, which supports deeper retention. The visual nature of the game grid helps reinforce multiples while encouraging repeated retrieval practice in an enjoyable context.

11 Times Table in KS2 Maths

The 11 times table is often explored using pattern recognition, such as how 11 × 2 = 22, 11 × 3 = 33 and so on. In KS2, children deepen their knowledge through activities that highlight structure, like using number lines or exploring the symmetry in digit patterns. They progress to using these facts in more complex mental calculations and problem-solving tasks involving multiplication and division.

Activity Idea: Dice Posters

Give each pair of pupils two dice and a small whiteboard. Have them roll, add the total, multiply by 11, and draw a quick poster showing the calculation and the product using words, digits and diagrams. Display the posters around the room as visual reminders of the 11 times table.
