Roll, Multiply and Solve | 11 Times Table Activity Worksheets

Turn multiplication revision into a fun race with our roll, multiply and solve activity worksheet for the 11 times table. Children roll a dice and then solve the multiplication question in the corresponding column (e.g. if they roll a 4, they solve the next question in column 4). Each column features a stack of 11 times table questions, and the aim is to see which character’s column reaches the top first. Pupils keep going until each column is complete, then colour in the first, second and third-place finishers. This KS2 activity is perfect for combining competition with repeated multiplication practice.

Key Curriculum Focus

This KS2 times tables/multiplication worksheet aligns with the national curriculum by supporting:

  • Recalling and using multiplication facts for the 11 times table
  • Solving multiplication problems through repeated retrieval practice
  • Enhancing engagement and motivation through game-based learning

With every roll of the dice, pupils revisit a different 11 times table fact, building fluency through randomness and repetition. The game element adds excitement and encourages learners to stay focused as they try to get their chosen character to win. Our roll, multiply and solve activity worksheet for the 11 times table supports regular revision in a light-hearted and meaningful way.

11 Times Table in KS2 Maths

The 11 times table is introduced in lower KS2 and becomes a key building block for larger multiplication strategies. For instance, recognising that 11 × 6 = 66 helps children when solving problems involving scaling, repeated addition or division. In KS2, embedding times table facts through both written and oral repetition, games and reasoning tasks ensures children have a solid foundation for more advanced calculations.

Activity Idea: Dash Dice Relay

Create a physical version of the worksheet in the classroom. Set up six columns on the board with multiplication facts. In small teams, children take turns rolling a dice and running to solve the next fact in that column. First team to complete all columns wins. Great for active learners.
