Using a Calculator Display Posters

This set of display posters shows how to use a calculator, providing clear labels for the key buttons and functions found on a calculator. Each page highlights a key function in bold along with a brief description of what that function does.

While children are encouraged to rely on their understanding of written methods for operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, this resource is designed to familiarise learners with the buttons and functions on the calculator as they progress through the latter years of Key Stage 2. This resource is great for serving as a tool to reinforce pupils’ conceptual understanding and facilitate the exploration of more complex number problems.

Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide, Equals, Decimal Point, Clear, On, Off, Memory Recall, Memory Clear, Memory Add, Memory Subtract, Percent Key, Clear Everything, Square Root, Number Keys (0 to 9)

Our using a calculator display posters are aligned with KS2 addition, subtraction, multiplication, division on the national curriculum. This primary resource can be used with your ideas for maths activities and games, display boards, teaching material, learning aids, differentiation, homework, and lesson plans.
