Year 2 | Interpreting Tables (Statistics) Worksheets

These Year 2 interpreting tables (statistics) worksheets encourage your learners to explore the results of a survey about the favourite colours of children in a classroom. Their task is to complete a table based on the survey information. Pupils then answer questions by referring to their completed table. As an extended task, learners are prompted to read information about a girl who surveyed her neighbours’ favourite fruit and then draw and complete a table based on the girl’s findings.

Engaging with the survey results and completing the table involves data interpretation, helping children understand how to extract and present information in a structured format. These Year 2 interpreting tables (statistics) worksheets also support the development of language related to handling data as children describe, discuss, and communicate their findings.

Our Year 2 interpreting tables (statistics) worksheets are aligned with KS1 statistics on the primary national curriculum. All of our Year 2 statistics and handling data worksheets can be used with your ideas for primary maths activities, learning resources, teaching material, visual aids, games, differentiation, display boards, homework, and lesson plans.
