Year 2 Sentences - Questions Worksheets | KS1 Grammar | Primary English

Year 2 | Writing Question Sentences Worksheets

In these Year 2 writing question sentences worksheets, your class will discover that a question is a type of sentence used to gather more information from someone’s response, such as “What is your favourite animal?” They are also reminded that questions are punctuated with a question mark to show that the sentence has been completed. Next, your class will read a set of individual sentences that conclude with question marks, exclamation marks or full stops. Your pupils will have a fun time colouring in the sentences that are questions. This activity not only helps them recognise punctuation, particularly the question mark for question sentences but also adds an element of creativity to their learning.

Following this, learners will get the chance to showcase their imagination and understanding by writing two questions of their own. This worksheet serves as a fantastic introduction to question sentences for your class, making the learning process enjoyable and interactive. It not only teaches the use of punctuation but also encourages imaginative writing skills.

Our Year 2 grammar worksheets are aligned with the KS1 primary national curriculum and can be used with your ideas for primary learning activities, differentiation, homework and lesson plans.
