Year 4 Settings Worksheets | KS2 Writing Composition | Primary English

Year 4 | Creating a Setting Worksheets

In these Year 4 creating a narrative setting worksheets, your children will select a setting for a story from a group of pictures: the seaside, the woods, an enchanted castle, and outer space. Once they have chosen their preferred setting, your pupils will then compile a list of adjectives in a provided frame to assist them in describing their chosen setting. In addition to general adjectives, they will also include adjectives for sights, sounds, and smells that will enhance the description of the setting. Following this, using these adjectives, your class will compose a paragraph about their chosen setting.

This worksheet is an ideal resource to help your learners craft a narrative setting. It provides them with the tools to plan their ideas using adjectives, enabling them to create detailed pieces of writing that vividly describe what can be seen, heard, and smelled in the chosen setting.

Our Year 4 writing composition worksheets are aligned with the KS2 national curriculum and can complement your primary learning activities, differentiation, homework and lesson plans.
