Year 4 Prepositions Worksheets | KS2 Grammar | Primary English

Year 4 | Prepositions Worksheets

In these Year 4 prepositions worksheets, your children will be presented with an illustration featuring a family enjoying a picnic. Their task is to identify three prepositions within the image. Subsequently, they will construct three sentences describing the illustration, incorporating their chosen prepositions. Following this, pupils will underline the preposition in each sentence and classify it based on whether it indicates place (where), time (when) or cause (why).

This worksheet serves as an effective tool for elevating the understanding of prepositions, encouraging pupils to not only identify prepositions but also apply them in sentence construction. Additionally, it fosters awareness that prepositions can convey different meanings related to place, time or cause.

Our Year 4 grammar worksheets are aligned with the KS2 national curriculum and complement your primary learning activities, differentiation, homework and lesson plans.
