Year 5 Relative Clauses Worksheets | KS2 Grammar | Primary English

Year 5 | Relative Clauses Worksheets

In these Year 5 relative clauses worksheets, learners are required to underline the relative pronoun in each sentence from a group of sentences. Following that, the class is presented with a table containing three columns with the following headings: Main Clause, Relative Pronoun or Relative Adverb, and Relative Clause. Their task is to choose a relative pronoun or a relative adverb from a provided list to introduce the relative clauses.

This worksheet aims to enhance learners’ understanding that a relative clause is a subordinate clause that commences with a relative pronoun (e.g., who, whom, which, whose, that) or a relative adverb (e.g., where, when, why). It also aims to boost their confidence in navigating the complexities of grammar.

Our Year 5 grammar primary worksheets are linked with the KS2 national curriculum and will support your primary learning activities, differentiation, homework and lesson plans.
