Multiplication Facts | 11 Times Table Activity Worksheets

Support your class with building multiplication fluency using this multiplication facts activity worksheet for the 11 times table. Children are presented with fact family triangles and must fill in the missing numbers to complete each multiplication relationship. For example, if the product is 22 and one factor is 11, they must work out that the other factor is 2. Some questions have missing products, while others have missing factors, allowing children to reason both forwards and backwards using known facts from the 11 times table. This KS2 maths activity encourages flexibility and confidence with multiplication.

Key Curriculum Focus

This KS2 times tables/multiplication worksheet aligns with the national curriculum by supporting:

  • Recalling and using multiplication and division facts for the 11 times table
  • Solving problems involving missing numbers in multiplication sentences
  • Developing reasoning by identifying number relationships and patterns

By using number triangles to explore multiplication facts, pupils can visualise how each number relates to the others in a multiplication fact family. This multiplication facts activity worksheet for the 11 times table strengthens their recall while encouraging them to think flexibly and apply inverse operations. Children learn not just how to multiply, but also how to break apart and reconstruct facts using known information.

11 Times Table in KS2 Maths

The 11 times table supports wider multiplication strategies in KS2. For instance, knowing that 11 × 6 = 66 helps children understand related division facts like 66 ÷ 11 = 6. As learners develop, they explore the relationships between numbers using models like fact families, arrays and bar models to deepen their understanding and apply their knowledge in different contexts.

Activity Idea: Fact Family Flip

Give children a set of cards showing one number from a multiplication fact (e.g. 99). They must flip a second card to reveal a factor (e.g. 11), then work out the missing number in the triangle. Encourage them to say the full multiplication sentence aloud for reinforcement.
